The Cuban crisis deepens as the Minister for Foreign Affairs calls for a meeting including all the countries involved. The Ministry had warned of this on several occasions before. Up to 300 Cubans are reported to leave Ecuador a day travelling through Colombia, all of Central America into Mexico and head for the USA. The problem begins in Ecuador as the Ecuadorian Government has no visas restrictions for Cubans entering their country. Costa Rica refuses to hold them hostage as they look for freedom. This has really aggravated since the Police arrested Human Traffickers, the so called ‘coyotes’, as before everyone had turned a blind eye to this movement.
